Claire Healy is an associate at K&L Gates LLP in Raleigh, focusing on Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety. Licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, she defends employers in employment disputes such as discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and trade secret cases. Claire advises on all aspects of employment, including sensitive terminations, discrimination, harassment, and leave issues. She drafts employment materials like handbooks and training, and conducts internal investigations into workplace misconduct.

Brian Clarke, Partner, Van Kampen Law, PC
Brian Clarke is an Assistant Professor of Business Law at Western Carolina University’s College of Business. He is a recognized expert on labor and employment law in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Brian frequently speaks on mental health in the legal profession. His writings about his experience with depression and anxiety have been published in the Journal of Legal Education, Journal of Law, N.C. State Bar Journal, and Business Insider. Brian earned his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law and a B.A. in History from UNC Chapel Hill. Before becoming a full-time professor in 2011, he practiced law for over eleven years, litigating employment law cases in North Carolina and the Southeast.
