What do teddy bears, the internet and special equipment for drivers with disabilities all have in common?
They were all developed by entrepreneurs with disabilities or with the help of entrepreneurs with disabilities. This year, Disability:IN North Carolina (DI-NC) will honor the 34th anniversary celebration of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by sharing the stories of past and present innovators with disabilities. These entrepreneurs have established disability owned business enterprises (DOBEs) that are on the leading edge of developing innovative technologies and services to benefit all of us. Others have contributed as team members to developing new products by using their disabilities to inform new tools and services. Learn from our panel of DOBEs about how their journey with disability informed their success in business.
