The event will also feature the North Carolina Employment Collaborative (NCEC), an initiative led by DI-NC funded by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD).

Allan I. BergmanThe keynote for this event is Allan I. Bergman, Subject Matter Expert for the U.S. Office of Disability Employment Policy, nationally recognized policy, and systems change advocate, and parent of two adult daughters living with developmental disabilities. Bergman’s career includes significant leadership positions within local, state, and national non-profit agencies and associations. Allan’s expertise includes broad knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, managed care and long- term services and supports policy, practice, and financing. A passionate and charismatic speaker, Bergman has provided more than 200 keynote addresses and 150 workshops to over 50,000 individuals in all 50 states, Canada, Australia, and Israel and most recently he participated as a presenter in the 2021 Employment and Transition  Webinars sponsored by  the (NCCDD).
