October 16, 2024

Since 1981, Business North Carolina (BNC) has been advancing the stories of North Carolina’s businesses and the people that make them successful. Combining talented writers, editors, photographers and graphic artists, BNC’s goal is to continuously inform and entertain readers who share a passion for their communities and state. BNC is known for sharing, in a vivid way, the ups and downs of people, companies and institutions that play key roles in our dynamic state. Disability:IN North Carolina was invited by Business North Carolina (BNC) to participate in a multimedia discussion emphasizing efforts to create a corporate culture of inclusion and diversity in the state’s workplaces, including the C-Suite and boardrooms.

For the October edition, BNC focused on the changing perception of diversity, equity and inclusion in today’s business environment. Led by Ben Kinney, Publisher of BNC the video discussion is featured on the BNC site as well as on its print, newsletter and social media throughout October, 2024. Pat Keul, DI-NC Operations Director joined a panel of business experts including, Borgia Walker, Senior Vice President Human Resources and Inclusion, Reynolds America, Gemma Saluta, Partner, Womble Bond Dickerson, LLP; Dr. Sheila Robinson, Publisher & CEO, Diversity Woman Media.  DI-NC reported that businesses across the state are role models for others in the inclusion and diversity space. DI-NC also discussed the return on investment (ROI) of disability inclusion and shared statistics derived from the 2018 and 2023 Accenture research that featured the companies deemed “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” in the nation.
